Welcome to the planet. You should ask if the throttle bodies are properly seated. Hopefully they have checked for vacuum leaks. You might want to download the manually or have the mechanic do it, as there could have been a modification to the bike that you don't know about. I know I have personally spent time at a stealership teaching their technicians about my bike, that disease is cured here on The Planet - good luck.

Re: help please

SV coils/new fuel filter and plugs and take the left fairing off and clean the yellow connector near the headlight (main harness) and the connector near the battery with the fuse in it.

Re: help please

hi, thanks for the response, i will try these tomoorw when i go to the bike shop, i was also wondering if having race cans on and not been set up for them could cause these problems, and if putting the standard cans back on would help. also could bad petrol do this?, thanks im desperate to start riding this bike lol.

Re: help please

i am assuming you put it in dealer mode and figured out the codes, right? if you don't know how to do this, search. It is all over the site. Also the yellow link on the top menu has tones of information you can take to your shop. Best of luck. Doesn't sound terminal. peace.

Re: help please

hi, i put the bike in dealer mode and didnt get any error code according to the dash there are no problems, i changed the spark plugs over when i had everything off , the bloke that had it before me, put the wrong plugs in it, i put new sparks in it and it started and sounded better, i put the standard cans on and it started and idled, i repaired the connection on the tre, then put everything back together, now its running v rich, wont start, stinks of petrol, still no error code,is it because i put the standard cans on, or is it something to do with the tre (which i wouldnt of thought so) any ideas of what has made it do this, i was hoping it was fixed then now this. help!!!, thanks.

Re: help please

Have the dealership set the TPS and sync'd the throttle bodies for you?

Double check the routing of the vacuum hoses. very easy to get it mixed up.

Re: help please

in your description, you state everything going good until you "corrected" the TRE. Maybe I missed it but you didn't state you had a TRE. so best of luck...

Re: help please

As far as TRE, I have no ideas, but my mechanic had stated that they have to get mapped to the bike......oh, they may be the power commander he mentioned, after I asked him about the advantage of a TRE.

I'll shut up now.
