Does anyone have a copy of the British magazine with the article on the SV1000S? They painted it to look like a Rizla and in that article they adjusted the suspension and gave the numbers, but I did not copy them down and I do not have the magazine anymore.

todd, depending on what you weigh, anything over 210lbs won't adjust out with out new .95 or heavier springs, I have tried all the mag settings, they either want you to crank the springs in or turn the rebound up. This means no feed back at the bars, the springs for our bikes are out of the 95-97 zx 9 says progressive spring.

I weigh 140 wet, and I am trying to get rid of the high speed weaving that occurs on the sweepers.

I might also try the heavier 15wt fork oil as it helped my SV650S along with the Race Tech springs. The 650s has a non-adjustable front suspension.

I can not find you the link for that MCNews write up, but they found the cause of the weave was uneven for tube heights, and fork oil levels too low. I tried the 15 wt, it help . You might try raising the legs in the trees. My legs were 5mm off side to side from factory

Try reducing the rebound damping up front one click at a time. Dropping the front end down/lifting the fork tubes in the triple clamps will reduce trail & may increase the weave. Making sure the fork tubes are even in the clamps is a good idea. I got the dreaded weave on my TLS when I had the stock fork springs installed, rider sag not set & the forks raised 6mm in the triple clamps. The weave occured in turns that had ripples or a series of bumps in them. With rider sag set properly front & rear and a little less rebound up front (so the front tire stays planted on the road surface) it disappeared. You may check your steering head bearing nut as well - did it loosen up?
