Anyone konw how to remove the rear spring from the damper unit on a TLR.
I need to remove it to get the spring powder coated a different color.
    Looks like its pressed together.

Not sure. Have you got it out of the bike yet? When you take it out make sure the bike isn't supported by the swingarm, put some bar through the swingarm pivot and place car stands each side, or sling it up with rope or tie downs from roof rafters or something.

As soon as you remove one of the spring bolts the rear will collapse if it is holding weight.

You just undo the locking rings, you my have to file or grind some threads at the end if they peened them.

I have the spring/damper unit out of the bike that was the easy part.
But the damper unit has a clevis on each end wich holds the spring it looks like the damper unit is pressed together or locked in some how?

Make sure you put a 5mm or 6mm washer on the top mount of the spring when you put it back in, it raises rideheight and does wonders for handling.

I thought you already had the spring out? I havent removed the damper but the spring is easy, just the top mount to the frame and the bottom one to the linkage.

            Im getting somewhat confused here...

i'm going to assume it's the spring itself as in removing the spring from spring mount. not the spring assy. that fits onto the bike. as in, what you'd do if you had to respring the bike.
