    GUYS can you help

now I am more used to the beast I am loving the way she purrs but have noticed a massive difference in the performance dependent on the cans.

I had straight through ART race cans on for the last 3 months and have enjoyed the noise - decided to put back on the standard cans for a change and now have a horrible snatching below 4500 rpm in 1st 2nd mainly - I hate it cause I have to ride the clutch on slow turns - IS THIS NORMAL? - is it cause there is now more back pressure than before?

    please give me some advice

Gilko, get that paperclip on the plug and just check that TPS setting, it'll only take a minute to check it. If it is out, it maybe the cause.

After downloading the TPS setup video ( 9hrs on company time )
I am now ready to check my TPS settings.

Question: I am guessing that the paperclip does the same job as the plug in switch that that is shown in the video and mentioned in the manual, a simple bridge?

You are correct. You just need that loop (paperclip) to put the bike in dealer mode. It puts your FI display in dealer mode to check the settings.

, 9hrs on work time, does that mean you got paid overtime while you waited for it

                Re: Settings

                Hey guys,

I am in the midst of doing some work to my '99 TLR. It came with D&D slip ons - and the previous owner didn't remap it. I am waiting for my shipment including a TFI and a K&N air filter. I am just getting into this, and don't even know what a TPS is... . I understand that the paper clip putting the bike into 'dealer mode'...but exactly how is this done (pics would be good too if someone has them)...does the ignition have to be on/off (I don't want to fry anything)? Does the paper clip removal automatically take it out of 'dealer mode'? Is this done with the ignition on/off? I am assuming that information will be displayed on the dash...? Once I have used the paper clip (closing the circuit - I am assuming), is the TPS the only thing that comes up? How do I navigate? What are 'normal' settings (I don't even know what format they are in)?

Thanks guys...I wouldn't mind checking mine out for fun, and sorry to all you techies that have to dumb it down for me ...
