  • I have fallen for the gap

After seeing the photos of the gap under the seat area of the TLR's, I decided to take the plunge and cut my undertray. I hated my undertry from day one, so the oppurtunity to hack it up on a rainy day.
Well I basically cut up the undertail and bought an aluminum 6" vent stack from Home Depot. Flatten the stack out(originally cylinder in shape). THen formed to fit underneath the seat and to meet up with the original undertail.
First photo. Undertail cut in half.
    I know nothing about bikes.

Do you seal that up well with silicone as I would be concerned about water getting in to those lectrics!!

Nice work - so much better than the yellow showing through.

If you install a hugger there is no way water can get in:dunno not much anyways

If you want to get a bigger gap , you should get an ohlins shock. It will match your yellow quite nicely

                          Nice work.

I don't think that is was ever designed to be water proof. Open it up after riding in the rain or washing it, bet you'll find water.
