  • Tiller painting

Just curious if anyone here has had their TLR/S painted by a shop. If so, what was the total. I got 2 quotes today, one for $800-$900, and one for $650. I just bought some TLR/R Hammerit fairings and am looking to get them painted stock. The faster or should I say fastest color, YELLOW.

Also anyone in the San Diego/LA area recommend a good shop?

    bargain shopper.

I've been quoted from around 500 for the basic black to around 900 without a color being discussed. You gotta find a friend of a friend to get a good deal.
    I know nothing about bikes.

a friend of a friend is the way to go. Ask around.
I wouldn't pay more than $400 for a 1 color paint job, but that is just me!

      Goodluck!

cost of paint is entirely dependent on how good a job you want and in what condition the body panels are. Mine where various colors with some road rash and I had to fix a dent in the tank took me 40 hrs including using air tools to sand primer and paint using 2 part base clear cost of materials alone wholesale was $350.00 if I where to pay a shop for the time and materials $3000.00 but it does look like a Lexus as far as the quality goes on the other had you could take it to Earl Sliebe and get a $300.00 color your world paint job normally in painting you get what you pay for.

Long as we're talking about paint.. I have some parts to re-paint for the TLS and some other addons I'm thinking about getting..

Should I try for some color-match type option or go to Suzuki for paint? Any experiences with this?
I've got a huge penis, You've got a huge penis, even Tim over there, yup you guessed it, huge penis. Good, now that that's out of the way, let's go ride

Your paint is a candy, therefore it's going to be VERY VERY difficult for someone to try and color match unless you order the factory paint from Color-Rite

I paid between $300 and $400 to have my entire bike painted (including the lower and my helmet). That was including materials. The paint is high quality and work was very good; however, there was no damage to be repaired and I took the guys the panels already disassembled and ready to be roughed up and sprayed.

Hey man I live in SD and I know of a couple shops. They both do good work, but I only know where one of them is. I have a friend at a bike dealership that can hook me up with the dirt on the other one. His hook-up is for $400-$500 depending on specifics. Let me know and I'll get more info for ya....late

I was afraid someguy would end up chargin' $1000 for a plain old paint job..
