  • 1/4 mile times

Not that I bought the bike for this reason but I would still be curious has to how the TL's run on the 1/4 mile....

    It's just good comparaison numbers

    About these for starters?

    TLR
    TLR with some mods

    TLS
    TLS - PC - 2 in 1 pipe

I found some place that the Tillers run high 10's that's pretty darn impressive!!
    ========
Honda's are like a padded bra....all show no go!!

I have heard that both will run 10's the S will run about 10.7 and the R 10.4

I am just pulling this out of the air...from something I read a few days ago.

Someone correct me if I am wrong.
If trees could scream, would we be so cavalier about cutting them down? We might, if they screamed all the time, for no good reason.

            N2 'da MAN!

If you wanna know how fast your bike is in the 1/4.. You gotta ride it. No magazine number is going to tell you how fast you're gonna go. Launching is an art and you gotta practice.

Not that I do.. I'd probably flip or record a 12 second run...
I've got a huge penis, You've got a huge penis, even Tim over there, yup you guessed it, huge penis. Good, now that that's out of the way, let's go ride

check out performance stats at http://www.sportrider.com/bikes/146_perf_nums/

TLR consistently around 10.75 @ 130 mph from different sources. and thats bone-stock... and tl's are particularly hard bikes to launch drag style, really we're made for it... should be significantly faster with the usual mods. with professional riders of course, my times would be waaay slower i'm sure.

Not TL's but I forget which mag tested the busa and the ZX12 and just dropping 1 tooth and lowering them got them below 9.2. Pretty slick for a stock bike + $100.

                  Good point.

A friend of mine on his modded ZX12 could only manage mid 11s

Hes only had about 5 runs on the strip. He also changes his gearing often so may be that had a part to play? He was hitting high terminal speeds though, 140mph+

Maybe he is just a wuss of the line!!!

I would like to take mine to the local track, but I don't want to burn the clutch or loop it. I get a MASSIVE adreneline shot when I stage my car out there. I would also be afraid of looping her. When I was racing the stang, my brain would turn off and everything turned into a dream like state. I couldn't hear the Metallica (FUEL) I was blaring or anything. I don't think I could hack it on the TLS. Maybe I'm just

the zx-12 actually didn't go 9.2 with the sprocket. it went 9.5's.
the busa went a best of 9.47 @147mph with nothing more than lowering and a one tooth down front sprocket. still pretty imprseeive. but when will the magazine run a test with fat riders like me lol. " the busa went 9.47 with the 130lb pro rider but with 340 lb matt on board it scorched the track at an astonishing 11.50. " LOL

youd have to weigh 1000lbs fora busa to only do 11.50's
