  • Full M4 system

Alright guys, I just picked up a full m4 system for $485. First of all, did I get a good deal? No clue of what these go for used. And second, what do you think of m4---sound, power, etc. How will it sound compared to the rs3 bolt-ons that I have now?

That is a hella good deal . They look and sound awesome. It should sound much louder and fuller than the slip-ons you had.

i have not heard my full yosh to a full m4 system, but what i hear is that the m4s sound a little tinny compared to the yoshis..now if we would've hooked up at laconia crusher, we could have determined for fact the difference between yosh and m4..... sounds like you are keeping the tlr crusher. right? so wanna meet up at the european sportbike rally at sunday river maine next end of june? hell, i'll even drive all the way down by you to have a beer.

M4s make more power than the yoshi's, mine sound fanFREAKINGtastic...my riding buddy says he always knows when i'm about to pass him, cause it sounds like bi-plane on his ass, and flying overhead as i overtake him...also been told its the only they've heard before it passed them

you're gonna love those puppies, that's a good price too if they're in good shape

oh come one horky...its a proven fact. Doug will jump in here and tell you the 411, but it has to do with pipe diameter. That and the M4 was pretty much designed with the TLR in mind, whereas yosh is just kinda the general suzuki whore.

hmmm, kinda doubt it... considering yosh actually designed the pipe set for racing and not just for streeters. plus, yosh i s a huge company and in addition, yosh doesnt half ass anything for suzukis. m4s just look cheap to me.

                    i agree with Horkn

just from the way the two systems are designed it would appear that the yosh would flow better since its more of an open system.

and as far as sound......I have a full yosh system that sounds incredible. It's louder than hell with a low grumble that will rattle your fillings out of your head. It keeps the children in my neighborhood up all night crying--it's that bad. In fact if you listen hard right now you might hear it.

My 2 cents for power Akro best then M4 then Yosh and yes it does have to do with the pipe diameter and the shape of the header. In all fairness I believe Yosh did it first and then Akro and M4 looked at it and improved it slightly because when you look carefully at the design of the headers they are very similar but there are diff. I personally like how Akro does the crossover pipe design in what I call the bundle of snakes under the motor it is the better design. Akro has a larger inlet at the muffler than Yosh or M4 which is where there bigger power comes from, I tried a poor mans imitation on my Yosh system and when I increased the mid pipe diameter from 2" to 2 1/4" and gutted the cans and put in bigger cores, 2 1/4" also it is a lot louder but it revs quicker and makes more power. I would say still not as good as the Akro but its way cheaper.

I know yosh is known as big race firm...but let's be honest, they've pretty much given the TL the big f-you from the get go....i guess what it would really take one bike, and two new exhausts on a dyno to prove it...but i think the proof that the M4s are better, simply based on the fact that horkn and SDTLR are endorsing them
