Use some WD-40 or GooGone to take off the glue left on the fairings too.

you can pick up a heat gun at a home store for about 10-15 bucks. just use it on low (too huch hig will melt the fairing )

for the fairings use a hair drier . get them heated up (jsut dont burn them) and then get your fingernails under a corner and slowly peel away. while keeping the drier on the next area to be peeled. work slowly and it will work fine. my rroomie got a set for his busa from Fast Lane Signs in clemmons NC. 35 for the entire chrome set. they make decals for anything

And as mentioned, the SUZUKI on the tank is UNDER The clear coat. To change those, you would have to strip the tank and re-apply the stickers and re-clear coat.

Sorry don't know where you can get stickers from, but aren't the stickers on the tank lacquered on, seem to remember when I sprayed my tank it took me ages to rub it all back??

Yeah the dealer has them. I have a brand new set of left hand side "SUZUKI" for a 2001 yellow... lower fairing and battery door. Cost me about 40 bucks at the dealer. Never put em on and the bike got written off heh heh.
