  • How big is the gas tank

    I've never put more than 3.1 gal of gas in the tank. Is there something wrong with my fuel pump or the tank breather up top. I read the manual and it said 4.8 or 9 or 7 or something. I have never come close to that. Is the tank that big, but you can't fill it that high or what?
    Why yes I am a jackass, thank you.

      straight from japan....

      My bike only fills up with the max of 3.6 gallons. I know my bike didn't come from Kalifornia, so the accurate reading should be 3.5 gallons at the most. I'm sure most people here have been at that point of the solid yellow light for awhile and only filled up with 3.6 gallons. If I'm wrong, oh well....

        I think our tanks are only 4 gallons. I always have the yellow light go solid at 115-120 miles and when I fill up, it's anywhere from 2.8 to 3.2 gallons.

                  My TLS quoted 17litres (4.5US - 3.74UK) Got 16.92litres into it once when I ran out (ran out waiting to turn into the servo).

                  16.92litres = 4.469US gallons or 3.721UK gallons.

                  Close enough for me..

                    This question has been on my mind often as well. I am new to my TLR and the idea of having no reserver switch but I am confused as to how much i can put in as well. I guess the yellow light is a little less than half full indicator at 2.5 gallons when it starts winking
                    I'm so slow I think I'm first!!!!!!!

                        Once my light came on full time, I went to the gas station and gilled up to 3.1 gallons.
                        I know nothing about bikes.

                          Hey guy's your gasoline are actually VERY cheap. Here in Sweden we pay $4,5 per gallon. More or less the same for the rest of nordic and i guess not so far from rest of europe either now days.

                          But it's worth it as long as it goes in my tiller

                              Yeah,
                              Belgium is slightly cheaper than the Scandinavian region but only a few cents
                              But hey, A Tiller is worth it.

                              Steve's numbers are correct, but when I fill her up when the light is on (not blinking), I have room for another gallon!!!
                              It sucks...
