  • Another one, or actually two bite the dust and pavement

Well, how can I start. Starting out on a saturday afternoon SDTLR and my sorry ass decided to go on a rubber burning excursion. The day started kind of weird as al the drivers seemed not be able to get out of second gear even in a 45 mile an hour zone. But I am going off on a tangen here. On our first run up Palomar, everything is looking good, until........ a Female rider decides to wave at us at the side opf the road with full leather, primarily SDTLR, since I was a little further back coming out of a turn. He the good Samaritan that he is, decides to slow down. This I don't notice. As he is about to make a U Turn I realize his plan, and slammmmmm on my breaks, my rear wheel comnig up, too fixed on HIS rear wheel. .............................slam into the back of his bike.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He doing about 10mph and me about 25-30mph. The result SDTLR bike gets pushed away from underneath him and he jumps off, I get catapulted over the bars, do a frontflip, land on my right shoulder and roll it off, while my TLR flys of a nearby 40+ foot drop.
The girl who was the catalyst for my stupidity, takes another 5 minutes before she walks up. Mind you that SDTLR and me are just getting off the road with our parts and stuff being collected saying:"I hope you didn't crash because of me. I needed someone to help me because a rock or bug hit me." That is with a full faced helmet . Fortunately nobody, besides th bike and my pride got hurt seriously. Mine, with the most damage had to be dragged down the little cliff to the road while we were waiting for a buddy to pick us up. Anybody looking for a fairly new Ohlins, motor with 12K, steel brake lines etc, no plastics, please let me know, I might be able to get you a pretty good deal. I think SDTLR has some pictures to go with this fiasco. That tells you how just a little distraction and stupidity , on my side, can cause so f@#$ much damage .
I am open to your ridicule and comments regarding my ability.

I can say with complete confidence, with a hot chick on a sportbike involved:

"I WOULD HAVE DONE THE SAME THING"

Important thing is you didn't fly with your bike!! Man it looks like your muffler is, uh... aroused. How much for the motor?

Sounds to me like she was sitting by the side of the road fishing for some passing action
