  • corbin seat: how long to break in?

    hi guys,

at last, i got the seat i ordered three months ago (it's oversea shipping, i understand but anyway... ok, i put it on this morning to ride to work and... hm-hm.. it wasn't much more comfy than the original

there was a rumour that the seat needs some time "to break in", ain't it true? how long? hundred miles, thousand miles?

    thanx,
    =avz
...she followed him to Siberia and spoiled all his catorga

ok, i bought mine with 5k on it and it was perfect right away. my roomie got one for his busa and it took 4-5k to break in too. corbin says 1k miles.

anyways, give her time. they are comfy as hell once broken in. and you'll notice that it wont nut you after a wheelie like the stock one. also, it will allow you to ride right up on the tank, or back further....

one of the best mods i have done to my tls was the corbin, so patience my friend

I have a Corbin on my TLR and it took some decent riding time to break in and mold around you. Don't fret, it'll get better with each ride. I also thought the seat was hard at first but it broke in nicely and feels great now..........just be patient.

Suzuki sells a great gel seat that doesn't require any break in and sells for ONLY $125.00... 5 minute to 10 hour days are no problem with this very reasonable mod (alot cheaper than the corbin seat)
        Just a few mods:

        Silver, the fastest color!

On the inside - HID type bulbs, K&N filter, Iridium ix plugs, 16T front sprocket, Coerce billet sprocket cover, Yosh re-map +5, +5, +5 11 o'clock, Scorpio SE-i500 system from my GB and an ATRE.

On the outside - TLR forks, front carbon fender, 5/8th master brake cylinder, black SS brake lines (frnt & rear), braking waves all around with Ti bolts, Brembo gold front calipers & a busa gold rear caliper, flush mount signals (frnt & rear), ZG DB scr

i've had corbins in the past and found it annoying hoe the raised edge goes up the edge of your crapper when you are tring to hang off. it was nice on the distance runs though. took a couple thousand ass chapping miles to break in though

2000 tillis plus stuff with some polished stuff and some carbon fiber stuff and a little bit of tlr stuff and some gsxr stuff
