  • Drag raced a V-ROD on NOS!

Old friend made a custom fogger kit for his Hardley and was talking smack at bar on Sat so I asked if he wanted to run them on Sunday. After ALOT of dilly dalling around ALL friggin day we finally made it to the local drag road-not legal, but its a very safe long road with no houses, no side rodes and no traffic and its IN town.
He got me off the line by about two bike lengths, but by the end of the quarter I was on his back tire. Even though he is a HARDCORE Hardley guy he now wants a TLR to put NOS on.

Don't be so sure, those V-rods make over 100hp at the rear wheel without the NOS and they are geared really low.
Add NOS and good launch and.....

How much crap did he give you when he won?

Hard to beat something that can launch easy like that, but it sounds like you gave him a go!

Better start practicing launches.. (or pull an N2 and make that swingarm longer! that'll get him.. )
I've got a huge penis, You've got a huge penis, even Tim over there, yup you guessed it, huge penis. Good, now that that's out of the way, let's go ride

It's not hard to launch a bike that weighs 45000 pounds. Hell, the front tire on a street-legal hardley wouldn't leave the ground if you drove it off a cliff.

You gotta love technology, which is why a V-Rod would be the only harley i would ever own....when you outsource the engine to porche you're probablu going to have a good bike.
TL1000S - M4 full system, TFi, Airbox mod, TRE, PAIR Valve removal, Galfer SS Lines, TLR 6-pot callipers, Barnett Clutch Springs (not installed), Bitubo (not purchased)

The other thing to remember is the vrod is 17k in rochester anyway. For the 8 or 9 k you spend on a TLR the only thing you dont get is broke.
                        I'm so slow I think I'm first!!!!!!!

I talked some HD sporster owner and it seams that they are always talking, how the next years sporster gets more power and so on. Then they update brakes from jap bikes, and finaly they have 1200cc, with some power, but with clutch slipping. Then gear box fails. There was also other guy with similar moto-guzzi fantacys. Dreaming about power and twin cam heads, four valves and less weight..

I said to them,so your dream bike would be V-twin with lot of power, fuel-injection, reability, low weight and decent frame. Wait no more. Suzuki made that already (since 1997!). Only problem to them is that it reads SUZUKI on the tank. I bet that if the tank read motoguzzi or HD, they would be raving how it rocks and how it is the bike they have always wanted.

go figure... same thing with ducatis. People want them so much they buy air cooled S750 versions, then dream about termicnolis and tuning chips. With the chip it probably has 80hp. And costs more then used TL...and brakes down---

                              JarkkoT.
I take no liability if someone burns up his/her TL with Jarkko/Sparkko/plus mod It's safe if it's done right....
