If you take any notice of advertising, iridiums are the best.

I've always run the stock 2 electrode jobs, but might try some iridiums next change(power of advertising). And of course I'll back to back run for stevepower results.

        plugs

Someone needs to post this info. I am also in need of plugs soon and would like to know differences and where they were purchased. Bring it.
        I know nothing about bikes.

Went to the local racer-support shop to get the scoop on TL plugs (the owner had a TLR). Asked him if it was worth going to Iridium ($$) and all that, and he said that for the price difference and the power gain, it wasn't worth it. Even on I4s on his dyno, he only sees very minor gains in power. So I went with the stockers.

For someone who could've convinced me to buy the pricier plugs for a higher profit to his pocket, he chose not to. He gets a in my books.

Do they last longer? Performance doesn't always = more HP.. But maybe longer life!

Allegedly, they're a hotter sparking, longer life plug.

Heck, I run stock plugs from valve check interval to valve check interval. I'm pretty happy with that kind of plug life, and I'm not sure that I'd want to run *any* plug for much longer than that...

And for the price of the Iridiums, I can get 2+ sets of stockers...

In my situation, the first clincher was availability. It would've taken days for delivery. And the other was the chat with the tuner. I was ready to buy the Iridiums after reading the manufacturers' propaganda.

If the situation presents itself, I'll still give them a shot. Heck, it's a MOTORCYCLE.

When has cost really ever been a consideration anyway?!?!

Iridiums are fitted as standard in my 5.0, I think the first change is at 100,000 miles.
