  • LP carbon sliders at cyclemall.net

Are these any good? Anyone here have a set? They have them for $83.95. I was looking at getting some of the MotoStyle no cut sliders for $100 but the LP's look kind of cool. Do they hold up well in a crash? I think I like the idea of not cutting my plastics so I'll probably go with the MotoStyle but I want to make sure these aren't a better option.

I actually had a set for my TLS before LP figured out that the TLR and TLS frames were totally different.

So with having them in my hands and foolding with them, they do hang a nice factor, but probably won't hold up as much as the no cut sliders.

I thought I had heard bad things so I did a quick search but couldn't find any posts. I saw someone else post about a PCII there for $235 so that is what got me looking at their site. They seem to have good prices but if the place is run by idiots I'll steer clear of them.

I got the LP carbons and I think they look great! Never tested them, though. I've heard nothing but bad stuff about the no-cuts. Cutting the plastics isn't all that bad. You'll get over it as soon as you see those sliders sticking out.

Where have you heard this from? Not trying to sound like an ass, just like to hear what they had to say.

                  Thanks!

I would also like to hear any bad feedback on the no-cut style sliders. I've heard of some bending issues with some but I thought the MotoStyle sliders were built a little beefier than the others.

                      no-cut sliders you're taking a chance...regardless of brand IMO

:dunno but I'd think something is better than nothing.

remember that you plastics (and exhaust prolly) will get whacked, they are only there to protect the frame (that big aluminum expensive part )

i "tried out" a set of the IRP sliders (not on a TL though) and they slid just like they were meant too. i dont imagine the carbon and aluminum ones would slide as well

2000 tillis plus stuff with some polished stuff and some carbon fiber stuff and a little bit of tlr stuff and some gsxr stuff

unfortunately everytime i have kissed the ground at over 40mph i have not had any sliders on, but this i will say...

1-alluminum cracks when its temperature is quickly increased, or decreased for that matter.
2-the carbon fiber looks rather thin (from the attached picture, anyway)
3-i was at a local mc salvage shop and saw two bikes in there with frame damage with no cuts, and the sliders were still on the bike, just bent in.

the factor is through the roof since one side will be almost completely exposed, so depending on your criteria...good luck.

I have two sets of the motostyle sliders, a white and a black. Yes they aren't as strong as the others, but they are NO CUT! They're still pretty damn sturdy. Dropped my bike and only ended up with some fairing rash!
No slider is going to save your bike at 80+, but it helps for those stupid "I cannot believe that happened" moments!
