  • cuttin off?

ok mabey you guys can help me. me as well as my buddy w/ an fz1 cant explain it. everynow and again when i get the bike warmed up or at a stop light if i just barley blip the throttle it cuts off. feels like when i do it and it cuts off its on the downstroke or something. what the hell is it. ive got 4500 miles on it and its done it since i can remember but its a little more frequent recently. anyone else had this happen? or do i need a valve job or something?

my tlr did the same thing. Check your idle if it's too low then when you give it a quick short flick on the throttle it will cut off. Try getting it to idle a little higher. That should work. It did for me.

check the TPS settings. probably out of wack from the factory. you can find plenty of posts here about it if you search it. mine does it too, i haven't reset the TPS yet, but it is out of spec. i just don't blip the throttle at stops anymore.

It's a little black knob on the left side mounted on the frame underneath the gas tank.
