As I said yesterday, I took my best friend on a TL test ride today.
First of all, I want to tank everyone for the "before TL ride, think of this" tip. All of them.
The ride went well, acctually, VERY well! Now heīs thinking of buying a TLS.
And, this is an I4 die hard guy.

Well, Im taking it from the beginning.
It was a beautifull Saturday - 20C (~70F) in the air, few clouds. Perfect!
I came home to him "early", but we didnīt get away until around 11. Damn telephone...
Anyway I had my Bulldog, and he was supposed to ride the TL. But, he havent been on a bike for some time, so I said he had to ride the Bulldog for an while first. To get used to ride again - itīs no freaking car you know...

He was cool with that since he wanted to test it anyway before I sold her. (The BT is fully covered.. so it was economically safe to let him ride...)
Of we went. And, you could tell he havent been on a bike for a few months...
Got better and after an hour on the Bulldog hee looked smooth. First coffe brake.

Lots of chit chat. Used to a CBR600 he was amazed of the TORQUE my Bulldog delivered (106 NM at the rearwheel...and 90% at 2500rpm...

He looked happy anyway.
He wanted some more time on the BT, to better get the feelign for her (I was SOO supriced!!! ) So Anohter hour on the BT.
The TL needed som fuel (suprice...) and the driver too. Coke and sausage. Lots of uninteresting bla bla about the BT.

Now, it was TL time. I had been on him all mornign about the cluch, easy on the power, and the weight. Well, turned out that his CBR weighted 185Kg, so thatīs about the same as my TL...
Gave him the key and he had a mini test run at a closed street. 1 minute later he was one of the happiest people I have seen in a loooong time.

Oh man, was all he manged to say at first... It gives the Hard on! (his word, not mine... ) I love it, he then managed to say. (Yeah, I KNEW you would!!!)
Good, time to hit the road for real.
I let him ride first, so he could ride at a pace that suited him. Oh man, I almost fell a sleep...
Anyway, he soon picked up some speed. (he know the bike isnīt fully covered...)
At a STOP sign I came up beside him. Oh that SMILE he gave me told me everything.
I knew he was sold now.

2 horus later.
Foooooood, again. W/ coffe and icecream.

I think the first thing he said was: The bike is amazing, It never stopps pulling! It doesnīt matter which gear I have, it so strong!
I know, I said with a HUGE smile, but still only a shadow of the smile he produced.

Here followed A LOT OF talking about the TL, how amazing the TL is etc. He now said he understood what all the fuzz was about. I must Admit, I have been a pain in the ass for him naggin about him MUST get a new bike FAST. And, TLS is a nice bike, I know a few that is for sale...

He looked really happy.

(I like that, makeing people happy)
Back on the bikes again. Wroom wroom...

We came home 18.15. His girlfriend mad as hell because we promised to be home at the latset 17.00 - I did NOT!!! or did I...

He is so sold on the TL now. With some luck heīll dump the R1 hunt and go TL hunting instead.
I could have gone on for a long time, but I guess youīre half sleep already...
7 hours on the bikes on a beautifull saturday with a good friend. Can it be much better??
Sometimes life is soo sweet!
