  • Oil change snafu

WTF? I think I screwed up my last oil change. I changed the oil and filter today, Last time I put in 3.1 quarts. I don't know what .1 quart is, so I only put a little bit. I looked in the service manual and it says that 3.1 quarts is really 3.5 quarts

Anyway, I put 3.5 quarts in and the shifting is a lot better. I hope I didn't do any permanent damage running the bike low on oil like that

I've been running 3 quarts in my 3.2 quart TLS for 28,000 miles. Any more and it gets in the airbox.

    It will be fine.

You're fine Crusher, the gear box is just happy with the fresh oil. This is why I change my oil every 1200-1500 miles
            No worries

Whew, thanks guys. I'm going on a big ride in a few minutes, so yesterday I changed the oil/filter, checked the TPS, tire air pressures, checked for loose bolts, checked all fluids, etc. I also zero'ed out the ECU map with the yosh box, then remapped it. Bike is running like a champ

I used Genuine Suzuki 10w40 4 cycle Motorcycle Oil & an STP Oil Filter. I usually like to use Golden Spectro, but they didn't have any
