This came to me in a TX sized vision..

As for instructions, they do not come with any.

The biggest thing is to note the orientation of all the nuts.

You need to reuse the spacer on the swingarm.

Also you have to knock out the bearings on the linkage and put them into the new linkage. You can tap them out
gently using a socket and put them in with a large "C" clamp.

Anything else PM me and I'll put you in contact with my "other voice"!

Here's a photo of the instructions that came with the Penske for my TLR. I redrew the instructions in AutoCAD if anybody wants them. I can't believe the flaky instructions that you get with a $1400 shock. I sent them what I drew up. Maybe they'll use that instead since it looks considerably nicer. If you want the AutoCAD file or a hi-res of the instructions, let me know.

Of course the blue ones are faster, you mean you didn't know that?

2000 TL1000R: Yoshimura RS-3 Full Titanium Race Exhaust, Hyperpro Steering Damper, Marchesini M5 5-spoke magnesium wheels (YES, it DOES steer lighter than your R1), YAFMS Map, BMC Air Filter, TRE, PAIR Valve removed, Traxxion re-worked front forks, Penske 8987 rear shock.

Also, near death with a car bumper.

Out of pure curiosity I would like to se that AutoCad picture.
I have Öhlins, so I don+t need that picture.

          A low res is enough.

When I saw the "instructions" that came from Lindemann with my shock, I thought it was a joke.

I love that drawing, its a classic. I bought mine used so I just wanted to see what I was missing out on. Thanks Again.

I took mine to Penske in Reading and watched them rebuild it, The nicest people around and it looks like new for $90.
