  • throttle body sync

Wow, the throttle is so much smoother now. I not only set my TPS last night, but also sync'd my throttle bodys with a mercury gauge at work.

I'm stoked, now I can't wait to go to the playground tonight and really try it out.

I'll try and get some pics while I'm down there.

Were your TB's out by much? I always check mine and have fiddled with it twice, but they were never that far out. Now the TPS.........

yeah, they were a ways off, havn't ever done it to the bike, and probably hasn't been done in the 3 years the bikes been on the road.

I had to do it to my SV a few times too.

Next comes plugs/oil again next week.

I'll start blacking the frame out then too.

I just bought a "carbtune II" for vacuum synching duties.. Works REALLY well and no Mercury lying around the house.. It uses steel rods in their place. Very cool.. You have to order it from the UK though and it takes about a week..

              Bill,

I'll see your "carbtune II" and raise you one Genuine, Suzuki Carbureter Balancer, Suzuki Part Number 09913-13121. No mercury, and it is a major tool. I had to have it and I so need time to play with it. Soon, i should be getting back to bike stuff, this job thing has sucked.

Now, not to cast disperssions on Doug's fine gauges, but I saw a set of digital balancing gauges (LCD screen) at the local dealership that were definately Bling Bling. The price? $800 Cnd. .... .... .... I think I'll keep feeding mercury to my paltry $80 sticks.

Doug-if you don't mind, how much did that set you back?

But Doug, I thought you liked me in a prison inmate kinda way...

I checked out the Suzuki tool, but it was about $200. The Carbtune shipped was around $90 and comes with the 5/6mm adapters..

The Suzuki is major though! That's what I wanted, but couldn't justify double the $$

I've crashed both, and hurt myself worse on bicycles then I have on motorcyles!

$178.00, it is about the same from Ron Ayers ($178.85) but that is also plus shipping. I have synched three sets now, so it is almost paid for. I should do my own bike! Duh! Someday I will learn to get money for this stuff......I am such a dumbass....
