  • Galfer Brake Lines Question?

Out of the people here that hace Galfer SS lines.....did anyone get bolts with them that did not fit properly? The bolts I got were a more coarse thread than the stock ones. What kinda crap is that If anyone else had this problem...how did you correct it?? Keeping in mind that the stock lines have a thicker head than the Galfer ones.

I had the same. One of the caliper bolts (I think it was the left one) was the wrong pitch... of the the parts store I went and got the right one (actually right ONES as they were a different finish and we couldn't have that, could we?). For the price I got the kit at, there were no complaints... and the improvement with SS lines and HH pads is amazing!

Can anyone recommend an online source for the Galfer brake line kit that will provide the correct parts for a decent price?

, not sure if this is why you're asking or not but :

Stock / 6 potters same are the same. I just fitted 6 potters and a 5/8" mc and usede my TLS SS lines that were already fitted to the 4 potters.

Mine also fitted fine, the only problem I had was that I was missing one of the washers.

I got mine from www.motoextreme.net I dont know if there re-opened yet as they were going throught a change.

I was just curious if he was using the HH pads and ss lines on the stock 4 pots or if he upgraded to the 6pots. I'm just wondering how much difference it would make with the ss lines HH pads on the 4 pots

pads/lines on the 4 pots is a noticeable difference, but pads/lines AND going to 6 pots is like night and day

2000 tillis plus stuff with some polished stuff and some carbon fiber stuff and a little bit of tlr stuff and some gsxr stuff

When I ordered them for the Katana, same thing, the ones for the front were wrong pitch. I called, and they sent the correct ones right out. When I ordered them for the TLR, they were correct.
