  • Another "I Love my bike" Post

Between being a new dad and a few other things, I really haven't been able to ride much this summer. It's been tough, but family comes first and I wouldn't change a thing. My daughter is the love of my life.
All that being said, I got to go out for a nice six hour ride today with oddly enough, six other fellas. We went down through western Mass (Rt 2 Mowhawk trail) and up into Vermont and home. It was just a perfect day, 78 degrees and dry. No one got in trouble, no one did anything stupid, etc. The TL did great like usual.
We were lucky to avoid any contact with Johnny Law as the speeds were pretty high most of the time. I did have one scary moment where I hit a patch of sealer and the bike stepped out a bit more than I expected.
All in all it was just great day. One positive about not riding as much is that it makes me appreciate every minute I can get out the fullest. You guys that can ride year round don't know how good you have it.

    I second that....
Being stationed in Japan where the weather is less than desirable, sometimes you get that "I don't care what its doing outside feeling" and you go!
Yesterday was one of those days (a typhoon was coming, but it wasen't too close)...
I don't care how waterproof your gear says it is, with high winds the water finds a way in so after almost three hours out, I was pretty soaked...

I even stopped at a favorite motorcycle store on the way back (normally there are over 200+ bikes in the parking lot and 1-3 cars..... well today, they were thinking "crazy gaigin" because the lot was full with cars and I was the only bike there...

Some times you just gotta say "what the [email protected]#$"
    Just a few mods:

I really envy the people in Southern climates who can have a bike as there only vehicle, that would be so awesome but I have to agree it makes the summer months so much sweeter and bx is right sometimes you just gotta ride

Hey, I did that Rte.2 western Mass ride a couple of weeks ago. We were supposed to go yesterday too, but I had a big Cookout, so I had to stay.

Think Im going to keep the BT for another month or so...

Good thing to have two bikes.
Gues I can put that extra Rennsport front I have in my garage on the BT?
A bit overkill, but I cant afford a new tire right now.

Dude! I love a good story!

I ride all winter (as long as the roads are dry)

If trees could scream, would we be so cavalier about cutting them down? We might, if they screamed all the time, for no good reason.
