  • Tiller Hp

I don't know about the rest of the world but in Belgium we have this thing with Hp.
For tax reasons most sportbikes are limited at 100 Hp, over that registration tax is at least four times as high, and then I'm not even considering insurance.

I know the Tiller is supposed to have 135 Hp stock.
Anybody know how they limit it?
And even more, how to "de-"limit it?

first off 135hp stock is a dream...........try more like 115-120hp out of the box. you all may have a different ECM that limits fuel and or timing different than the ones here in the states.......i'm sure someone will tell you how to de-nuter the black box

Are you talking 115-120 at the wheel or at the... What is that part called in English? The axle coming from the engine?

You are thinking of the "crankshaft". Dragonbro is talking about rear wheel Hp not crank Hp. I think your regulations are based on the crank Hp rating, are they not? Sucks to have it neutered! Those bastards!!!
If it ain't broke, lighten it.

I believe the restricted models have smaller diameter bellmouths (velocity stacks)

I've seen pictures of the restrictive bellmouths in the airbox, from memory they could be taken out, or at the very least replaced with standard ones.

they may have smaller throttle bodies too, in addition to the smaller bellmouths. just get a used throttle body/bellmouth setup off of ebay, get a used unrestricted ecm, and youre in business for about 20 more rwhp, more if you count the potential with other mods.
and yeah, suzuki quoted the stock 135 hp at the crank, not the rear wheel...

I think the TB's were identical, just the inserts / bellmouths were different.

I can't seem to find the link to the site that had the pics.

                      ECM?
Is that the little black box under my seat?
Can't you just reset that with a Yosh box or PCII or something?
Or will I need the real -unrestricted- McCoy?

                          Yes it is..

If they kill the HP by changing the Timing the Yosh box won't do crap.

You could spend quite a bit of time experimenting with TRE's and PCII's and the like, but I would think that you would have much more success and get up and running faster by picking up a different ECU.
