  • More SV is gone stuff

I've just heard from another source, that the SV is gone. A DL650 yes but no SV650.

    Suzuki have lost the plot.

Why would they get rid of the whole line after just updating it? I don't believe it. They made such a big deal about the vacuum cast frames, and the new fuel injection system. No way are they gonna dump the line after putting all that money into it. There will be no SV1000R, but there will be a SV650, and SV1000.

That just makes no sense. Why would Suzuki spend the money to totally (at least 90%) redisign of one bike (the 650) and create a totally new one (1000) just to pull it out in one year. The reviews have been very positive, except a fair amount of people like the old body styling better.

Well, on the upside, if they do discontinue the SV, mine will be worth a fortune!

          It can't be.

As long as I keep seeing a note saying:
"The 2004 SV Line is coming.
                Please check back soon."
I'll have to say, this is all rumor.
If they were going to kill it, it would just be like the TL-R...absent from the site.

It would be the biggest, most bone-headed move by a motorcycle manufacturer that I have ever seen.

But then maybe they are dropping it to concentrate on next years super-twin-nekked-hooligan bike that will destroy the competition.

Or maybe they are simply lurking on all the web boards guaging the publics opinion of what they are anticipating Suzuki is goign to make?

Or maybe they just havn't had time after the launch of the new R1 / Blade / ZX10 to spare much time for things less important than chopping off fingers and such. (Seems a waste to make your engineers comit suicide when they could just loose a finger and still be helpful to the organization!
Had a 98 Black TLS (Stolen)
Now I have a 99 Red TLS (Red goes faster anyways!)

I'm searching the Suzuki Japan site right now, can't find any SV650's, found everthing but 650's.

                        Even an SV400 http://www1.suzuki.co.jp/motor/sv400s/index.html

I wish I could read Japanese right now http://www1.suzuki.co.jp/motor/index.html

I've tried substituting several models into the link where it says sv400s, no page for 650s, 1000s

It just doesn't make sense to keep a smaller model of a bike that just doesn't sell well at all (the DL), but drop the SV650 all together.
