Earplugs
Do you guys wear earplugs while you ride? I just started doing it and it's great. Really cuts down on the noise.SOLD! 2002 Suzuki TL1000R -Blue/White

i never ride without them...........i use the red color ones shaped like a bullet......very comfortable and you can buy them at most drug stores.......it is illegal to wear them here in CA unless they are the custom moulded type, but i don't understand why. i can still carry on a converstaion and here cars and horns, it just muffles the wind noise............puts me in a "zone" when riding.

I used to with the Ducati, but for some reason I stopped when I got the beast. The wind noise is less than the Duck was, but I am sure I am still doing damage to my drums. I guess I need to get with the program. If trees could scream, would we be so cavalier about cutting them down? We might, if they screamed all the time, for no good reason.

whenever i'm planning to go over 60 miles/hour ( thus meaning if i leave city limits), i wear earplugs. It's a must because with my crappy helmet i can't go faster than about 60...otherwise my ears start bleedingaaauch
actually, i prefer riding WITH plugs; nothing compares to topping out in 6th with some brand new plugs and hearing just about nothingwhat dragonbro said: the "zone".
i have no trouble hearing cars/sirenes/crying women with my earplugs in, they only filter the windnoise, and it's great!
oh, yip, they filter that damn ticking noise too

I do, when on the highway (120 kph+).
Otherwise I don't.
It's prolly just me but I feel on smaller roads and at lower speeds wearing 'em gives me less feedback from the environment and (even more importantly) my bike.
I feel less confident wearing them in yhose circumstances...If You're Not Living On The Edge, You're Taking Up Too Much Space

I wear them, otherwise my ears hurt and i get a slight headache...dem pipes are loudwhich drowns out the wind noise no matter what speed.
