  • Thinking of putting a deposit on the TLS

Hi all, thinking of putiing a deposit on a 97 TLS, seen some bargains on the net. Then for the bike to sit in the shop while I pay monthly. Do you think this is a good idea or am I jumping the gun?

You see I want a 97 but its hard to find any low milage ones. I won't have all the cash till around feb 04 so thinking of snapping a good one up now while I can - with a hefty deposit.

Plus I am worried about buying a humdinger I don't know what to look for, a mechanic I know will come along but he don't know anything about TL's

if you have a hefty deposit, then financing should be pretty easy. just dont finance through a dealer.

2000 tillis plus stuff with some polished stuff and some carbon fiber stuff and a little bit of tlr stuff and some gsxr stuff

I'm not thinking of credit just paying for the bike monthly while its in the shop. You see I have seen 2 low milage 97 models for bargain prices and don't want to loose out. By the time I have saved up (feb04 ) it will be harder to find a good example of a low milage 97 tls, most have over 25k miles on the clock.

I dont do credit its all a con!

Credit it not a con, it's a necessity in this society. manage it well and there's NO problem.

I am assuming the bikes on a dealership floor? See if he'll float you in house.. I wouldn't be big on paying for it and leaving it there, because you never know what will happen to it there. In you're own garage you're safe.
I've got a huge penis, You've got a huge penis, even Tim over there, yup you guessed it, huge penis. Good, now that that's out of the way, let's go ride

use credit to your advantage. go in with a big down payment and set up a loan with low monthly payments. then pay more than the monthly payment...end result...you pay it off when you had planned to anyway - feb 04

this way you have control over the bike and can keep her safe (and wring the piss outta her while you are at it)

''float you in house'' sorry not heard that term?

Good point. I work for a big law firm so if required I was thinking of asking a lawyer friend to draw up some sort of contract garunteeing that I get exactly what I pay for on the day I hand my deposit over.

If this would be a 'safeguard' against buying a bike that could possibly be damaged while not in my possesion then I would do it but I'll have to find out first.
