    Paranoid minded new owner

    Hello guys,
I'm going over to England on Saturday to buy a TLR. There's a bike shop in Surrey that has 7 TLR's for sale. They have a website that they post thumbnail photos of all their bike. They have a black one. I like the black ones. However, all the black ones I've seen before have been black and gray. This one seems to be black, gray and yellow however. It has a tail unit just like the late model yellow TLR's. Were there 2 kinds of black TLR's or is this one wearing the wrong clothes. I know it's just a small sticker on the tail unit but it could be an indication the bike has been crashed and rebuilt using spares. Can you all take a look and tell me if this looks like a genuine bike? Thanks.

BTW there is a good reason it has white wheels.

      Superfly,

I think I can help you on this one.
The black/gray one is the '99 model. I have one of those.
The black/gray/yellow and tail (and prolly a little bit next to the headlight or windscreen, not really sure) is the 2000 model.

So I think it's pretty normal, should be OK.

When I went out to buy mine I checked out the (at that time) newer one but ended buying the secondhand '99 cause of financial reasons.

Excellent. Glad to hear it's okay. The gray/black ones do look better IMHO. It will do though. Does anyone have a picture of the black\gray\yellow ones? I'd like to see a better pciture of one, or at least with the seat cowl on.

I think I do at home, in an old brochure, the Suzuki 2000 Full line -up, not sure wether it has the cowl on or not, I'm thinking no.

I'll scan it in for ya when I get back home tomorrow...

Found this, for sale somewhere in Sweden, with cowl

                Looks good doesn't it?
If you look real close, you'll see the small yellow lines next to the windscreen.

                    Doesn't it?
                    Really makes me
I never did understand what the fuss about those Blue & White or Yeller bikes was about
Once the black ones hit the road, nobody looks at those others anymore.
Except maybe to see how far they're behind

                    Good choice DaRKoN and Superfly

DaRKoN_ me ole flower. How are you. I assumed you'd be on this list too. Did you send yours off to get sprayed or something? I hope an 'off' didn't prompt that.
Thank you to everyone that responded. My thanks to you. I feel much better about the bike now. All I have to do is fly to the UK and then drive the 400 odd miles back(and get the ferry). WooHoo!

                        All right!
                        Should be fun!!!

Do you already have a license plate or something?
Or can you just ride it home without?

Be sure to get some pictures live once you're back in Eire!!
