  • Cruise control options NEP or Vista

I'm going on a long road trip this weekend and I'm wanting to put on cruise control. Does anybody know the difference in the NEP and Vista. I thought about modifying my fast ilde lever but I dont see how I could get it high enough to hold a fast speed. BTW a local stealer has the vista. Also any install tips would be appreciated

if you need it quick and dont want to permanently install anything (like if you just need it for a weekend)...

go to a tractor supply place and get a big arse o-ring, just big enough to fit over the bar end. keep it on the bar end and if you need to lock the throttle, roll it towards the grip, then set the throttle.

completely safe, no...does it work, yes...is it cheap, yes

Thanks Kevh I forgot all about that. Have you tried the o'ring trick I was just wondering if it will hold on the highway or if I will keep having to screw with it

NEP works fine, you have to pull your stock grip back for it to fit, but you can take it off in 2 seconds if you need to.

        I give it

it always stayed fine for me. it fits perfect in the small space between the bar end and grip. for 60 cents, it cant be beat. i usually roll it over to the grip then give it throttle to set the speed, that is where it stays (if you go to a john deere place you can even get the "faster" yellow ones )

I've used NEP on past bikes with success. I tried the o-ring job, but didn't like it, it was too hard for me to roll it back off, so I put a zip tie on it so I could pull on that was wrose than trying to roll it off.

is one better or cheaper than the other, where do you get them?
War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.
