  • Vance and Hines pipes

Any members with Vance and Hines slip ons? Do they sound good? I had never seen a set until these on Ebay. I have to say they look real good. Just curious.

Actually, the Vance and Hines stuff is made pretty good.

I haven't heard their Mufflers on a TL, but I had a set on my old GSXR750/1100 and they sounded good. They were loud, but not obnoxious. They were easy to tune also, and made some good power on that old inline 4.

I have one on my Katana, I can verify they are built solidly. This thing has been through hell. It's an old one, but man does it sound sweet....on a 4.
Don't know how it works? Take it apart and find out!

        Here's how it sounds.

I've got a V&H slipon on my CBR. I used to think it sounded pretty good until I put my Yosh C/F cans on my TLR
I wouldn't buy one, it just happened to come with the bike. In all fairness it produces good power.
Retired the TLR for a Gixxer 1K. Sorry boys I sold you out

those have been run way too long without a good repacking. the carbon is shot. they would need new sleeves as well as the badge and i dont think they offer re-sleeving anymore.

i alwasy wondered why in ama the vance and hines ducati never ran vance and hines pipes

2000 tillis plus stuff with some polished stuff and some carbon fiber stuff and a little bit of tlr stuff and some gsxr stuff

i had the exactly same pipes on my old TLR before it was stolen. Awesome sound, but the pipes suck ass, i blew a hole thru the carbon fiber on the side of the right can, and they faded to crap there's a reason why Vance doesn't make the SS2r or any carbon pipe for the tlr no more heh.

Yeah, I have seen some pretty bad CF V&H cans. And they sound like crap. Never heard any on a TL.

I`ve got a set of V & H SS2r`s (stainless) on my tls.....and i think they`re awesome! They look good(highly polished) and are pretty unique in this part of the world, and they suit the bike well. They sound great to, pretty loud.....but that`s good.
As for poorly made....i can only comment on mine and as far as i can see they are made quite well, rivets are all in place after 30000klms, no corrosion and they haven`t fallen off. I highly recomend them.

One of the locals has V&H on his TLR and they look good and they sound pretty good too. They are not as loud IMHO as the Full systems, 2Bros, Micron's etc but still quite nice. If you can get them cheap I would go for them, depending on condition of course.
