  • What model are these Sidi boots?

I won these new Sidi boots on Ebay a couple of days ago for $137.00. What model are they? They have carbon but they aren't the Vertebra Race model (at least from the pics I've seen). Maybe an older model year? Did I get an ok deal?

    I thinks so

They look the same except for colour as my Sidi Verterbrae II's
Not the silly chromy race ones. Great boots

Also Ive seen several versions of the same boot, you can get the shin plate in plastic, chrome or carbon but still the same boot. If you want you can get chrome bits for em from tricktape.com the parts are all interchangable.

Isn't the chrome thing extra protection though?

You got a good deal. From memory those are last year's model (but who cares).. this year's model is like double that price on newenough.

Yup mine are all black and I've worn them 14 hours a day 5 days a week for the last year, the squeaking disapeared ages ago. Still heeps of sole left and no stitching or wear problems.

Looks like the standard vertebra or vertebra II. The "race" has the extra support pieces around the ankle. Could be a current model year, as they offered both the standard vertebra II and the vertebra II race over the same time period.
I paid $200 new for mine (VERY good deal, a freind of mine is a dealer), so I think $137 is pretty good for that used set. They look to be on good shape.

Those are Vertebra 2 carbon boots. I have the exact same ones, except they're all black (and I had to pay $230 for mine). The Race boots have a linkage that goes up the outside of the boot.
