  • more power

Am trying to get a little more power to the rear tire on my TLR Have dual Yosh with power commander installed. Dyno'd at 106.5hp and 65 pounds of torque. What kind of trade off, if there is one, will I get if I open up the air box? Open to ideas or advice.

That Dyno seems really low for the mods you have. Are you running the proper map? You'll need to get a full exhaust if you really want to reap the benefits of messing with the airbox.

106 HP that's horrible 65 lbs. terrible have them check their dyno, you should be making at least 120 and 70

The shop that Dyno'd it told me they could not find the exact map and that was the best they could do. From the replies it looks like I could do much better. Thanks!

The only other sure fire way to get more power would be to trade it in and get a yellow one Everyone knows that the yellow ones are faster

If it doesn't make it go fast, stop fast or turn fast, it doesn't have it.

I would agree that the dyno "may" be reading low, and that if you went to another dyno center, you would probably see better results. (They would be different at least, giving you a hint at what's up..)

Ask Steve.. He doesn't even call his readings hp.. they're SP.. STEVE POWER's!

I've got a huge penis, You've got a huge penis, even Tim over there, yup you guessed it, huge penis. Good, now that that's out of the way, let's go ride

You have to have their software to open their file. The application is downloadable at their site.

Opening the airways some certainly shouldn't be a bad thing -- let the engine breath. Also, another cheap way to increase your hp/torque is to remove a layer from the head gasket. This will up the compression ratio and decrease the squish area. It's up to you to measure clearances to ensure there's no problems, but I'd almost guarantee there'd be no trouble.

                          air box mod

take a look at the air box mods in the common mods/perfromance mods section. worked great for my bike. breathes much better and makes a huge difference. i agree to check you map, if you open the box you will need to remap. also if you need it I have the map for open air box, k&n filter, TRE and slipones. pm me if you want it.
