  • So close...

Oh damn, I was SO freaking close to catch the "I got new parts on the TL crash disease"!!!

    Like 10 cm close...

    So what happened
I was training wheeling a bit (uhu, unusual... ) while going to fetch my Bel Ray 3W forkoil (to the dampner). and totally missjudged my speed.
Got it up in one of those sweet 2d gear wheelies, and then put it down and, where the f**k is the road....
sharp right turn, and me hits the front brake, but its damn cold outside so I don´t dare really slamming the front brake, hitting rear too, locking up (6-7m) TL sidetracks like a freaking MotoGP bike, me look where to aim looking for "soft spots". got on to the gras releases the brakes and stear to the right again, have time to look over sholder, no cars, on to the asphalt again, slaming the throttle and pretends like nothing happened. (so embarrased because there were lots of bystanders... ).

Don´t know whats worst. The fact than my brain doesn´t work once I start the TL or the fact that I didnt get puls of this close call.

Damn, last time I was this close I was shaking like an aspen tree! 200 in puls. That was before my crash (on track). Now, nothing. Only the after thought that something is deffinetly wrong.
OK, I have been totally flooded (except for today, which was a lazy day) with work for about 2 full weeks (inkluding last weekend). Could that be the "error"?

Damn city planer, stupid to have a sharp turn there, its a perfect wheelie straigh if it wasnt for the right turn...

    Oh well.
Going for a beer with friends later, instead of mounting the fairings...

That Big Hurt was damn close to day...

Huh? Look where you want to go, not where you are headed, or where you will crash?

      Is that what you mean?

          Target fixation is a killer!

I cannot believe that you didn't highside that...

If trees could scream, would we be so cavalier about cutting them down? We might, if they screamed all the time, for no good reason.

Hey, I was looking at the cars... But shifted to the grass - looked softer, and, yeah. Target fixation. Sux.
Have to train not to be so fixated.
I tought about bending it down, but I rode halfed geared so that tought went out of my brain at warp 10. Don´t know how the brain figured out that grass/meeting cars would be less damaging than sliding on tarmac without hitting anything...(lowsiding on in my lane)
I think the cold weather scared me more than I thought.

              Target fixation:
It´s all those girlies pictures on TLP lately!!
Staring to hard straight forward to much...

Think, people waiting for the buss sees this:

Wheeling LOUD AS HELL bike, obviously speeding, no farings on a bike that looks like it would normally have == crashed bike.
Bike puts down front, opps, he´s in trouble, he´s crashing (crowd gets exited...)

Oh, damn he brakes hard! Look at that slide!!

Oh, he´s not going to make it, he´s going out on the grass.

What the f**k, he didn´t crash
                  Damn trafik maniac.

They start to talk to each other, did you se that,? What an idiot!?!?, See, those bikers are all a bunch of organ donators, did you se that he had crashed before?, No? He didnt have the farings on!
                  bla bla bla bla...

After I complete my first successfull wheelie, I might need some advice on how to recover like you did. But for now, I'll just have to wait...
