  • I believe I found a TL scam on Cycle Trader

I knew I've seen these pics before and then remembered where. Obvious scam and I wish my TLR weighed as much as this dumbass thief claims! I emailed chris with the link. The sellers email is not valid as I tried to email him.

If that is said bike, the guys site he stole it from wrecked it. Guy spent the next 20 some days in the hospital too. That is just plain stupid for a person to try and sell a bike that will appear first when you do a search on google for "TL1000R". Atleast that is what usually comes up when I do a search.

Some people shouldn't be allowed to reprodce.
Don't know how it works? Take it apart and find out!

                  Here's how it sounds.

I think these are the same guys that do this scam with R1's. We pointed it out and a guy on the board works for cycle trader shut em down quick.

But you know that if there weren't people stupid enough to fall for it they wouldn't be out there doing it. That's the sad part.

Yeah.. another guy making a fortune out of people's stupidity.

"It said to put in my paypal password so I did"
"This person I don't know only accepts cash upfront, so I sent it"
"It said to put in my atm card number and PIN, so I did"

The sad thing is the number of people making $1,000,000 this way and getting away with it. He should have used area code 911 ! (911) ASS-HOLE....

"Hello this is 911 do you have an emergency?"
"Ummmm... are you selling a TL1000R?"
"Ugh.. not another one.... umm, sorry it's sold (click)"
Used to ride a '01 TLR

has anyone read the article from performance bikes (sept 96) THE EQUALIZERS? Its about these guys in England who set up bike thieves by parking a bike under a street light & hide in a van waitin for someone to try & steal it,then jump out wearing masks & beat the snot out of them, its a good read, they took a photographer with them theres some good photos of the thief gettin his beats.
