  • Frames finally polished.

    Apart from a couple little bits, the polishing is finalllly done.. Yayyyyy thank god too, took long enough. Now I can start putting stuff back on. The pics just don't do it justice

          I was almost converted to the powdercoating but now I've seen this...

          Did you do it yourself?
          How, what machinery did you use (drill/angle grinder)?

              I did it all by hand with sandpaper except the rough cast bits I used a palm sander. Worked my way through sandpaper grades up to 1200 and then took it to a guy with all the polishing gear, he uses various size calico cloth wheels with different grades of tripoli compound. I could of polished it myself but after all the sanding I was sick of looking at it. Its been gone the past 8 weeks while the lazy git took his time doing it, I demanded it be done by this weekend and I guess he finally finished it, sucked tho cause I found another place that coulda done it for the same price, but been finished in about a week. Oh well live and learn

                        The hyperpro stuff has gotta come from Holland via England so another 3 weeks for that (2weeks for manufacture and at least one for shipping) fingers crossed, but the gixxer forks should be here tuesday
