Do they make such a beast? That lead weight riding shotgun seems really unnecessary at times. NiCd or Li would appear to be a much better solution.TLXR Project Bike:

If your battery needs changing anyway, then you could try smaller battery. I can't remember, but was it 10Ah battery in TL, CBR900 RR's have 8Ah batteries, and those are lighter in weight...
Ones I put my old TLS battery to thunderace yamaha, 12Ah to 10Ah. Works well, is over 1kg(2lbs) lighter then original...
