  • battery chargeing trouble.

i don't know if it is my battery or my chargeing system i put the battery on a charger and it took a charge i took the bike out on a ride and it died on me so that made me wonder if my charging system was working it all was working a week ago but then i put the bike away for the winter and now it is hot so i brought it back out and now this could it be the battery or should i look some where else.

check the connections first, then maybe if that is not the case, it could be the battery, or something else. rectifier?

mine did the same on my gixxer..after winter storage..just wouldnt hold a charge...

      new battery....solved it for me...

and then i bought an optimiser..that maintains the battery when not in use...

How old is the battery? A Cycle will not run off alt. power like an auto will. sounds like u need a new battery

My friends battery was like that. We turned it in at the Local Yamaha Center and they had some "special" battery charger that refreshed it somehow, after that it worked just fine. Cost him $5...

... funny my buddy and I were just talking about ths same subject ... My battery holds charge for couple of weeks more or less then dies ... Could it be the new Max Blue 100/90 halogens I just put in ... (probably not) ...

My buddy suggest that I check all electrical connections etc., alternater and so forth ... you may want to try this first.

was just that alarms etc...will drain your battery over time....

why dont you get yourself a battery optimiser ?

they will bring em back from the dead usually ?
