master cylinder

I was going to get 6pot calipers from a Hayabusa but wanted to know if the mastercylinder will bolt up or if I would have to do some mods to fit it. Something is different with the Hayabusa mastercylinder isn't it, would I be better off getting a MC from a TLR, ZX12R etc. I like the looks of the gold more than the black, do they make any good paint in that color that can take the heat. ok, the mc on a busa has an integral resevoir. dunno if it will work, but give her a try. and use engine block paint, it holds up fine. go to the local ricer store and tell them you want to paint your calipers. they will show ya the stuff.

As long as the M/C has a 5/8" bore and not a 14mm bore it should work.

i was (am) concerned with the proximity of the fairing under full lock left, and the mc....

i have already looked at this on my roomies busa, and this looks damn close to me.....but then again i have heli bars, so if ya got stock clip ons, hopefully there is no issue


and edwin, it is a 5/8 bore...

not sure how it will work then I want to get some Heli bars this winter. Is the busa one just that much larger that it might hit the fairing. When I get the Galfer lines do I order TLS ones or do I need to get custom ones.

I also looked at a Busa side by side with my bike and it looks like clearance might be an issue. If it will clear it wouldn't be very much. One of the guys I ride with has the busa calipers with his stock m/c and says it works fine but I'm sure the bigger m/c would be better

its not that the busa one is larger, just that its a remote resevoir on the tl's.

My bad, I didn't realize the 'Busa M/C had a fixed Resevior. Sorry. Yes, clearence may be a problem. As far as function is concerned though, any 5/8" bore M/C should work.

Ohhh....ok got ya thanks guess there's only one way to find out for sure. If not I can find something else on ebay. Will the stock lines work though? are the ends different?

I ended up with one from a ZX9R but I'm guessing with the heli bars it will contact the fairing
