                That is pretty much premeditated fleeing and eluding hardware. If the cops did catch you after "reatracting" they would certainly not go easy on you.

                I find that US spec MC plates are pretty darn hard to read, even when not "retracted". Difficult enough to keep me out of trouble so far anyway

                  I spoke to the guy who was peddling them at Mid-Ohio this past summer. He suggested they were good for using in areas you know to have photo-radar. Also, if you're planning on driving like a nut (premeditated hooliganism ) flip it up!

                  Personally, I wouldn't risk it having it!
