    quick release fasteners

    I'm wanting to buy some quick release fasteners for my bodywork.

    What's all involved in this?
    What manufacture has the best quality
    How much should I be looking to pay?

      I have used 1/4 turn Dzus (sounds like zeus) fasteners on my race bikes. They are about $20 for pack of 3. They have 4 styles (D-ring w/ slip-on, D-ring w/ rivets, Slotted w/ slip-on, Slotted w/ rivets) The D-ring slip-on are the easiest to use but must be placed on the edge of the fairing. The slotted head requires a larger hole so the fairing would need to be drilled. With the riveted ones, the fairing have to be drilled so female side can be riveted on but can be placed anyware. Haven't tried them on my tiller...hmmm I do have a few extra, maybe I will check it out.
      Common sense is not very common.
