  • I think he had Tiller envy

So today when i'm at school, getting ready to leave, this guy is rolling up on his v-twin cruiser bike. It doesn't have a very good sound, it reminded me of a ninja 250. I'm there watching him rev it, as he rolls through the mc parking lot, and then pulls up right next to me. I then start my bike, and when the thumping starts his jaw just kind of drops. he gives me a nod and then walks off. as i'm coming around the corner, to the main road to leave, he stops and watches as i ride by. i'm still in first gear reving it a little bit. it made me feel good to see the reaction that someone else had when i started the tiller. i think the sound surprises some people who are expecting the buzzing sound

Yeah, I have had some nice looks too. When I fire her up.

      Feels so good.
Especially if there is another I4 running at the same parkinglot.

Schuss - If you havent got the M4 yet. Oh man, you are going to LOVE the sound!
      M4

I have never been "sound" yet by another bike.

And the day I get, I´ll buy him a beer or something.

Ooo. I saw that you have the Yoshi RS3 Race.

I bet they sound better than mine!

Those M4 I have sounds more now than when they were new. Acctually, a problem for me. They had 102dB at the inspection 1.5 years ago. And 103 is allowed...
Same stupid thing with trackdays. most tracks have noice restrictions.

The parking lot startup. Ya gotta love it. It is a fine art. I like to crack the throttle just a bit so the bike really barks to life. Always a what the hell is that head turner.

The TL might get blown away by a literbike I4 down the long straights of Road America track, but it dominates them when you fire 'em up in the parking lot

just re-pack the cans PL . if you really want to quiet them down use a steel wool type wrap over the baffle then use the fiberglass packing.......probably last longer too

Did you just say 6 dollars for on bottle. Dude sit at home and buy a 12 pack. Then you can save money and buy more goddies for your bike. I've gotten the same reaction from people. "That sound different" Different than the inline 4's.

No need. Your friend with the Honda Accord will owe you a case of those beers when you tell him to switch the Main Relay to the Fuel pump. (about $50 - 60 for the relay)
If he does that, you wont have to move your Tiller everytime he visit you.
The Accord will start in the heat once again...

                              Mine does!
