New TLS Owner

howdy,
Just got a NEW 2001 TLS , brand new left-over stock from a dealer. I got a great deal on it too!!! I've just left the world of Buell (pls. be kind, i'm aware of my mistakes!). Really excited about the possibilities with the new bike.
Whats the PAIR thing i've heard mentioned? Is this something i need to check out?
I'll post a pic or sumthin' when i get a chance.

Nice deal! As far as I know, the PAIR valve sends air into the exhaust for emission's purposes. No performance value.

It'll cause your bike to backfire upon deceleration in some cases and basically is unnecessary weight. Probably about 1 or 2 pounds worth of stuff that can just be unbolted. I had my mechanic do it for me free of charge.

nice find man. what color? the pair valve blockoffs really help after you fit aftermarket pipes. my roomies busa backfires like mad under decelleration after he put the pipes on and the pc3r. plates came in today. go on tomorrow....will report back asap...

YES! Another BLUE tls!

Pair valve = crap on your bike you don't need. Go to the "for sale" section of the board and by the block off plates and get that crap off! (and buy a 10mm gear wrench.. your life will be SO much better!)
