  • UPS just charged me $135 to ship my exhaust to The Crusher

Can you believe it cost that damm much to ship that stupid thing? Because of the stock one piece system and it's unusual size it was considered bulk, 150 lbs....... what crap. The headers and Two Brothers cans probably weigh a quater of that. Unfortunately I had nobody else to ship through......my good deal just went out the window. Al is lucky his M4 system he is shipping to me can be separated into two pieces........Rant over...

For all the stuff I buy from the States I always insist it be sent by US post. They dont seem to cube out the weight ie go by size. UPS is just too damm expensive. When I bought my clear tail lense ages ago I paid $12 shipping via USPS. Ups wanted $56 bugger that for a joke. I had my forks (with axle. triples calipers, levers etc,) 42lbs in actual weight sent via EMS Global and it cost $160, but thats to Australia, and delivered in 4 days.

We here in Hawaii are used to that crap.

We can ship FedEx ground to the Mainland...But not recieve any FedEx ground back.

UPS rapes everyone here every chance they get.

              That's why I ship USPS.

UPS, FEDEX and all other freight companies and couriers charge "volumetric" - whatever is greatest, size or weight, is what you pay for. If you ship fairings that sucks, ask me. The intl postal services charge by weight only. A helluva lot cheaper.

FedEx Ground is very reasonable for the oversize items.

Yeah, that silly stocker is a bugger to store too. Gangly thing.

I don't mind UPS for normal sized items for ground but USPS is great for doing things on the cheap.
