Yep, those forks are indeed shot.
Maybe you hit some oil or other snot slick crap left on the road by a cage driver."The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man." - George Bernard Shaw

bad luck dude..
makes me sad to see that rash..and damage..but as long as you are ok that is the main thing...bikes can be rebuilt..and ya will get a lot of help off here.
i dont even take mine out when it gets this cold..i have always thought it to be a bit risky...with the tyre not getting up to heat too well..
we are forecast snow this week...
it has been about 12c all weekend...shit no way was i going out...too damn cold..
just a thought for us all...coulda been a bit of diesel/oil...but could very easily be cold tyres...
mine is away for winter ..and she wont be coming out till end of march at the earliest...
damn there has been some downs in the last month or so..
"Sorry Officer ! I thought you wanted to race"

...join the club - That makes 5 of us this week, if I'm not mistaken?! Abolutely - baaaaad week for the Tillers!
I recon you're allright...??
I have to go with Screwloose on the cold tyre thing - I'm positive that my spill earlier this week was due to cold tyres and very low ground temperature...but damn it went down fast...
With the front scidding, does it usually go that fast? I must I was surprised, as I went app. 50 Km/h...
Anyway; heal up - and good luck on the bike, it seems as if you could use it...Erhm...Spring? That's in January, right..?
