and he watches me practice wheelies the whole ride and he keeps complaining that his bike is under powered and he cant get it up.. I told him he's a big pussy and had 0 technique.. so he told me to prove it.. so we switched bikes.. Whoa.. haven't been on in I4 for like almost 3 years.. first of.. i stoppied her nicely.. i didn't like the feel of his stock brakes compared to mine and the landing was alot hard it seamed, but that could all be due to the way he does (or doesn't) have his suspension set up and my liking of my stock brakes. next upm, wheelie attempts. 1st one i forgot i was on an I4 and cracked her at 5K and i kinda didn't do anything specatular.. then i cracked her again after the first one much higher in the rev range and skyway she went.. i eased off and lower she came and roll on a little more and back up she went.... It was so controlled... Much easier to wheelie than my beast but i still hated to ring the neck outta the stupid engine to get some proformance.. needless to say my friend was pissed off and i finally got him in a little wheelie and stoppie... it all begins...... that night i got just less than 100 K outta my tank !!! before it started to flash.. thats the worst gas milage i've ever gotten.. woohoo !

took a firends GSXR 750 out for a spin
Heres the story, I ride with a friend alot that has a 00 GSXR 750
and he watches me practice wheelies the whole ride and he keeps complaining that his bike is under powered and he cant get it up.. Cool dsly1... Yeah Gix750's and Gix1's are so easier to bring up on 1st and 2nd gear. I now have a 40T 1- tooth up on rear and I'am going to put back the stock 39 rear sprocket back and place a 16 1 tooth down in the front, cause I'am still having a hard time to bring my TLR up on 1st and 2nd.If You Fall Behind, You Stay Behind!

In regards to second gear, sometimes I get frustrated and think it is the bike but then I know I am wrong because sometimes it will come up in second like nothing. After that thread about 1/5 turn throttles the other day I decided maybe I wasn't using all the throttle I had available. So last night as I was coming home (couldn't practice wheelies all night because of the rain) I gave it full beans in second gear right before a down hill. The front came up right before the road dropped away and I floated the front all the way down. I'll have to say that it was one of the neatest feelings I've had so far on a bike. Anyway, I learned last night that no I am not using all my throttle and no it is not the bike its me. Anyway, my advice is keep practicing and whenever you think its the bike think about my friend who can get up second gear wheelies on his 98 CBR F3.

Yup all technique... 3 monthes ago i started wheeling and i've taken it very incrementally.. i'm right at the point of balance but just don't quite have it yet.. Its practice that will help you with your fear which is ultimately holding you back... its the think along holding you from flipping it.. so keep it slow.2000 Race only TLR - Accel. rides.. hell i was on it only 5- 10 minutes.. I hated how it rides.. in corners the front wheel seemed to pull/drop in instead of my smooth corners, same with the zx-9 i rode.. hated em.. could wait to get off em and back on my tiller.. Don't assume to much...2000 Race only TLR - Accel. I think a lot of that comes with being used to a certain bike. If you rode it for a month, I bet you would like the way it handles. But I agree, I have not found a better bike (for me) than the TLR, and that includes the Gix1k.
