  • What's your music?

So what music does a typical 'Planet'biker listen to or for those of you who are slightly inbalanced like me --- sing in the helmet?
God put me on this earth to accomplish a certain amount of things. Right now I am so far behind I will never die!

The best gift you can give your children is your time........ride safe

Everything from Minisrty to Mozart - depends on my mood. I'll go from Nitzer Eb to Jay-Z in a heartbeat!

Still down with the classics like Led Z and The Who and such - Gotta love Deep Purple Hwy Star to really get ya in the mood to rail!

I listen to everything out there except Country (at least country after like 1985 ). I grew up with oldies from the fifties and sixties because my parents always listened to it so I like some of that. I love 60's and 70's rock from bands like The Doors, Pink Floyd, The Who etc... Sometimes when I am in a the mood I can listen to some 80's stuff or early nineties music. At other times I like rap, hardcore rap and the more light hearted rap. Then at other times I like heavy rock like Sevendust, System of a Down (first two albums), Rage Against the Machine etc... Like I said I listen to everything, its not uncommon for my mixed CD's to have a Paul Simon song right next to a Slipknot song. I like anything that can get my toes tapping I guess.

I'm a HUGE Metallica fan. Other than that I'll listen to just about anything but country. I'm not a big rap fan, but it's starting to grow on me a bit. Mostly I listen to hard rock/metal and punk. I also have a real soft spot for female singers so there is a lot of that in my collection too.

Jokertlr- Slipknot is one of my favorites.

I'm all over the map, Classical, the classics ( Led Zep), love the older metal like Metallica, Megadeth, and Sabbath.

Blues and Jazz are a must, gots to have my swing

Didn't always like rap, but I do like the older stuff, Eminem, Missy Eliot (very funky) and a few other songs here or there.

I don't like new country (more like southern pop to my ears), but classic country like Jennings, Willie, Johnny Cash etc is great

Just a warning: Once you go BASS, you never go back! It's like going from an I4 to a V-Twin, the bass has rumble, power, depth, and character that a torque freak like yourself will love. I've been playing for quite a while, if you ever have any bass q's let me know

well, after being a radio DJ for about 4 years, my taste in music is all over the place. but mostly alt rock and industrial. I had my own industrial music program on the station, and that seems to be the best music to recall when railing through our cow pie infested roads. NIN, crystal method, Vitro, BT, the prodigy, sister machine gun, gravity kills, and others are very good for this. or for straight up rock, Cold is a geat band, along with Chevelle, and other new bands are great too. but then, like i said i'm all over the board with music (no country). i was listening to Contraband: the best of Men at Work on the way to work this morning....

Justin Timberlake is probably my favorite at this time. Backstreet Boys are so yesterday.

Rob Zombie "More human, than human", Linkin Park's first album. Anything with a fast tempo.

Come to think of it I prefer the sound of my V-twin best of all.
                I know nothing about bikes.

BNC - You killed me with "but I do like the older stuff, Eminem, Missy Eliot " Bro - listen to Fab 5 Freddie, Grandmaster Flash & the Furious 5, The Trecherious 3, Run DMC -Where Rap all started - Maybe go the De La Soul or Tribe Called Quest route as well for a whole diff flavor - If you are into older style Rap, yee shan't be let down.

Horkin - I am soooo down with BT & TCM - Do you ever delv into "Ministry of Sound" type music - Got it playing on my laptop as I type! - God Bless the Queen!

2pac was an artist.....his songs may they be rap, are still poetry....Its strange. You cant tell a difference between bone/tupac/B.I.G......and damn lil' john and the eastside boys? or even big tymers?.....tupacs songs had meaning....feelings...they make you think sometimes. True, they are ghetto. But, they arent "rapping about vicatin and homosexuals"......and theyre 26's.....all that new rap has no thought involved when listening to it....to me it sounds like they are just bragging w/ "music" set to it.

i've been known to listen to just about anything...minus the country, i just don't get that style

been rocking out to rage against the machine, nothing like a scrawn white kid (and i mean really white) bumping that down the street. Paul Simon is the poo, massive attack, essential mixes off radio one are always good. Oh, cake! prolly my favorite band right now....i could go one, but i won't.

                            Hmmmmm Where do I start

I like a whole lot of stuff

I dig the crap out of Big Band/Swingmusic, particularly Glenn Miller's ilk...

I love old shit kicking Country music from like when Merle Haggard was young and George Jones was still drunk......

I love old Southern Rock, in particular I am a big Allman Bros fan. But I like that crap all up through Black Crows.

I have a special place in my soul for Jetrho Tull, Eddy Arnold and Dean Martin......I can never have enough Grand Funk Railroad!!!!!

I love most metal stuff, but I tire of Metallicam not to say I don't enjoy it, just repetitive.

Nickelback, Staind, and about ten other bands that I can't remembe right now.......

I like Willie Nelson, Bugs Henderson, Stevie Ray Vaughan, ZZ Top, Waylon Jennings, Talking Heads, B-52's and it goes on and on....Green Day!!!!!! The Clash..........

Okay, but coming home from work today I was jamming Jethro Tull, Minstrel In The Gallery, my ears are bleeding, but I am smiling...

Finally, I do not listen to music on the bike, I get distracted by it, I lve to concentrate on riding.....

Donīt listen to music when riding.
But sometimes I sing for my self.
