will the oem clip ons from an 02 tlr fit on a 97 tls?

I don't know if the upper fork tubes are the same size.

It's hard to say...

The clip-ons themselves are slightly different (lower on the TLR) and the design of the upper triple is different (key lock position). They'll fit as far as the upper tube is concerned but the clip-on may or may not attach to the triple correctly.

I wanted to try this but never got around to it so I don't know for sure.
