  • What are stock rims worth?

Hey guys, I have a friend who wants my rims and I am going to order a set of OZ's. My rims are black 03's with 3,300 miles and never changed tires (i.e. no scratches). Now that the back tire looks like a racing slick I figure its a good time to swap rims before mounting new tires. What would be a fair asking price for the rims? Thanks for any input.....

I would say without any rotors, cush drive or sprocket. I'm assuming you'll use those for the new wheels. I'd say @ $400

The value of a set of wheels depends on how badly you need 'em. I'd just keep them for sparesmyself. If you sell the TL at some point, you'll get more out of the OZ's. Plus, you can use them for track tires!
It may be that your sole purpose in life is simply to serve as a bad example.

Yeah, I've thought about resale but have vowed never to sell another bike, just add to the collection. Resale sucks so bad I would just assume keep it if I only ride it once every month or two. By the time I would want to sell it, whats $4,000 towards a new one?
I think the track idea would never happen. If I did two track days in the next four years I would be suprised.
Biggest reason for selling is having that money to put on the OZ's. Makes the bottom line for the rims look better to the boss, I mean the wife?
