  • Full exhaust front header question?

Does anyone know if the clamp for the header to front cylinder (two allen bolts) on the M4 system is supposed to sit flush with the mounting holes? Is there supposed to be a space with the gasket installed in the head? Is the front head pipe supposed to sit in there easy and just clamp down with the bracket (pic below). Is the head pipe suppsed to go WAY inside of the front cylinder? It just seems a little loose. I'm in the middle of installing Crushers full M4 system that just arrived and I could use some quick answers on this one. Thanks!!

The M4 system reuses the stock exhaust gasket. Here it is.. ..you might need to reach into the exhaust port to find it.
(this was coppied from the next post of your pic)

there should be a gasket in the port on the head........re-use it or replace it.

wiggle the exhaust pipe around a bit to get the flange to seat as far as possible. i dont think its supposed to be flush against the head.......i think crusher asked the same question when he installed that system

No, its not supposed to be flush. Maybe a quarter inch or so gap. On every full system I installed the flange actually bends a little when bolts are tightened. I'm no mechanic just telling my experience.

Thanks guys!! Just like you fellas said, small gap and just tighten down the two bolts. The M4 system is simply bad ass. No leaks at all.
