  • How about this BS.

I am backing the bike from in front my truck. The next thing I know the neighbors dog (50 ibs or so) is a foot from me then bites my leg by the thigh and behind the knee (only 1 bite). The worst part is the dog is now 2 feet from me barking and I can't put the bike on the kick stand 'cause my roommate bike is in the way. I am and f...ing helpless to a point. I don't want to make a sudden move and get attacked by the dog.... but I also don't want to be vulnerable either. So I slowly start positioning the bike and I started yelling at the neighbors (I live in a town house cul-de-sac) to get the fucking dog. Then a girls from the family runs up and grabs the dog. And starts in on me on how my bike scares the dog. .... Whoooaaaa hold the phone.. I started yelling (over the bike) the she should have the dog on a leash - etc etc.

I was so jacked up that I wasn't thinking straight and I just left a rode for a couple of minutes to the local car show. Then I took some pictures with camera phone. The dog actually broke the skin. Its really not I big deal in terms of damage to me. I don't want to add Drama to the injury. BUT what if it happens again. When my roommate gets home I will ask him which townhouse they live in and have a chat with the parents.

I would post pics but its not really the point.

Next time I will not be such a nice guy to the parents or the dog.

Thanks for excusing the spelling and grammar errors.

Holy Crap. Atleast you saved your ride. Try putting some rat poison in a t-bone and "here pooch, here ya go". Possible future dog problems solved.
    Cant sleep.......Clowns will eat me.

HOW? is the most productive question to ask. WHY? is a loaded question which will only arrive back at its predetermined answer.

I would have landed a size 10 combat boot right in that dogs face. Not that I encourage kicking dogs, but if it comes to your flesh and your bike or some dog that needs to be leashed then let it be the dog.

I hate when people let their animals go all over the place.

That Vegimight thing might work too though

At the very least you need to file a Police report so if and when it happens again you have a paper trail that will net you a good case against them. Even if you decide "to let it go" you need to file the Police report. I own a 5 year old Lab and if he bit someone I would expect at the very LEAST a medical bill and a request for a dinner certificate. And I would be jumping up and down that I got off easy. They are 100% liable for the actions of the dog. Call the local police dispatch. Hell, the Police have door service.

I would definitely report the incident. What if next time that dog decides to go after a kid?

that sucks.. I was expecting you to say.. and then.. BOOM, down goes the bike (I believe that is the sound they make, right?)

that is grounds for a lawsuit... but at the very least report it!

Tell them that they would pay for the repairs & medical & laywer fees if their dog does that shit again!

Sorry, but my bike got tapped over in a parking lot and it's a $2300 estimate.. They wanna pay $2300!!! I doubt it.. Glad your ride is ok, and you're ok (mostly..). But don't let it slide too much...

They are 100% responsible for having control of the dog. It was not under control. They are completely liable for damages ie post tramatic stress disorder. Glad you are ok. I would talk to the owners, and remind them they can be ticketed for not being in control of the dog. george

exactly chicken hawk... kicking the dog is judt like them kicking your bike. very very touchy ground here. but those that cant contrrol their dogs get into really big trouble.....
