You can modify the stockers. Just ask 2perrev he gutted my old stock cans and repacked them:dunno somehow.

I think it makes them faster too, cause that dude can rail

hey SDTLR, where is 2peirre at ? I guess would like him to repack mine also, well depending on how much it gonna cost, i'm on a budget right now and can't afford exhaust yet, but i want a louder bike.

Taking the cans off with give me endless tickets with the damn cops here.

we didnt mean to have you ride with no cans. just to hear how loud she can be. and repacking the pipes wont help, that may only quiet it down. take the cans apart (grind the tack welds off the back on the bolts) and take her apart, thenn make any holes bigger in the stock cans inner pipe. then merely put back together...

no prob on the no cans comment.

hmm, how about gutting out the entire cans ? I think that would make it louder right ? As longs as i can still have cans on my bike, then i think i can get by with the cops. Thanks

man I did it the quick way. Drilled 3 holes in the bottom of the stock pipes where you couldn't see them and walla. Instant VROOOM.

I had an Exup 1000 - took the Micron race can off it and it was actually quieter up to 4500rpm, and not a lot louder at 10k !
also had a bevel drive 900ss Duke with "Conti" pipes on it - when i got pulled for the noise in town they stuck a tape measure up the pipes to find the baffle plates. When the lined it up outside the pipe it was past the collar on the head - the valve must have stopped it reaching the piston.
the French and Germans like to take of their cans and make a lot of noise at night at race meetings, so one night we fired the duke up (with the "silencers still in place) and a couple of blips of the throttle (and flames out the pipes) soon had them shut up........
Nothing sounds better than the "VROOM - BAAA" of a twin on open pipes !

I think I used a 5/8 inch drill bit. I would have gone one size bigger but couldn't find all my drill bits.
Oh ya my bro was behind me one night on our way to bike night and he told me everytime my bike would backfire a 6 inch flame would exit my pipes. Kind of cool. But can be annoying too.
